The Science of Sound
Join your Richmond Symphony this fall for an exploration of The Science of Sound! Presented in collaboration with the Science Museum of Virginia, this program invites you to discover how orchestral instruments create sound and the mechanics of sound waves from outer space to the deep sea. Designed to align with Virginia Standards of Learning, this concert is programmed for grades 3-8. This concert features Haydn’s Symphony No. 94, Gregory Smith’s VIBE, and John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine and will be held at the Dominion Energy Center’s Carpenter Theatre.
Tickets are $7 each, $5 for Title 1 schools. Groups receive one free chaperone ticket per ten student tickets.
