Future Music Educators Symposium

This program is designed to identify, honor, and provide meaningful experiences for students who show exceptional promise and passion for a future career in music education, especially students from diverse backgrounds. This is an honors class for students – promising young future music teachers – and they will be selected through teacher nominations and student applications. This course is a series of virtual workshops and classes where hands-on teaching experiences and community engagement is provided, as well as access to a wide range of invited guest speakers, clinicians, and mentors, representing all of the rich diversity that exists in the world of music education as it is, and what it can be.
