Richmond Symphony Hopkins-Eggleston Discovery Concerts - 2026/2027
We are pleased to announce our 2026–2027 Discovery Concerts! Designed specifically for school groups, these engaging, age-appropriate performances align with the Virginia Standards of Learning. After registering, teachers will receive a digital resource guide approximately one month before the performance, filled with materials and activities to help prepare students for their musical experience!
Remarkable Richmond
Journey through Richmond’s story in a vibrant musical program featuring its Indigenous roots, the James River, key moments in American history, Jackson Ward, and inspiring leaders like Maggie Walker and Arthur Ashe. This special program is presented in partnership with The Valentine Museum to honor of the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.
Peter and the Wolf
Boys like Peter are not afraid of wolves! Prokofiev’s timeless tale of boy vs. wolf comes to life in Michael Boudewyn’s signature performance. This concert is a perfect introduction to music and the instruments of the orchestra.
