Young Composers Seminar

Young Composers Seminar, led by Richmond Symphony Composer in Residence Joe Jaxson, invites students from high school through their sophomore year of college to create and workshop original music through twice-monthly online sessions. The program culminates in an audio-recorded live performance by Richmond Symphony musicians in May 2027. No formal composition training is required, but participants will produce a notated score and parts using software such as MuseScore or Sibelius.
