2021 Sphinx Medal Excellence Recipient Titus Underwood returns for another semester of Black Music Discovery! There will be a new set of composers and performers explored in this course. For those who like to play, there will also be a class recital at the end of the course! Our journey of discovery will mine the music of composers such as Ignatious Sancho, Harry Burliegh, William Dawson, and a deeper dive into William Grant Still and Florence Price. This course will also help guide one to calls of action in promoting and playing Black music in their communities. Don’t miss this opportunity to add depth and diversity to the soundtrack of your life!

*There will be no class March 8, 2021.
